Here’s what composer, Georg, had to say about the project…

“For the launch of Mercedes-Benz’ highly anticipated first electrical S-Class - The EQS - the creatives of antoni garage and director, Thibaut Grevet, came up with an unusual approach for a car commercial. Not driving an inch, we see the EQS falling from the sky and smoothly landing on Earth. And instead of hearing a dramatic score with taiko drums & whooshes or an EDM track, we hear the vintage sound of an early 60s R&B love song. However, by latching onto the flow of the movements with a 6/8 rhythm and interpreting the shiny reflections of the imagery with the gentle sizzle of cymbals, the music doesn’t seem out of place in this futuristic setting.

The whole writing and production process, from early layouts to final mix, was very enjoyable and being songwriters at heart we decided to make this a full length song from the start. It‘s now called ‘The EQS - In Our Dream’ and is available on all platforms.

A large part of the song was recorded at JRS studios in Berlin who have all the right equipment (and knowledge) to make this a credible sounding piece of music from that era. We teamed up with British singer, Louise Golbey, who did an amazing job through all the stages of production and came up with great ideas for the backing vocal arrangements.”
