Matt Grimm is currently the Associate Audio Director at Sledgehammer Games, where he has been for the past 8 years, developing Call of Duty titles including Call of Duty:WWII, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.
He started his audio career in 2003 working in music recording and post production studios in Chicago. He had always been a gamer with obvious interests in game audio. He started by freelancing for pinball and arcade cabinet makers, recording and editing dialog and sound effects. Soon thereafter, Matt moved in-house, accepting a Senior Sound Designer position at Midway Games, which was later acquired by Warner Bros. and became Netherrealm Studios.
Throughout his career, Matt continued to work for various AAA and indie game studios including EA, Midway Games, Netherrealm, Phosphor and Microsoft. During this time, he worked on titles including Fight Night Round 3, Mortal Kombat vs DC, Mortal Kombat X, F.E.A.R. 3, Killer Instinct, Wrestlemania, as well as many other mobile, coin op and pinball titles.
