David Philipp is an award-winning sound designer based in London, UK. David started his career in Germany with the renowned sound design company Dynamedion and helped starting up BOOM Library, where he is still part of the core sound design team today.
With a strong focus on field recording and the creation of sounds from scratch, David later on joined Creative Assembly to help finishing up Total War: Rome II and lead the creature sound design and recording process for Total War: Warhammer.
After leaving Creative Assembly and co-founding Noiseworks together with his business partner Byron Bullock, David realised that their individual skills and techniques really complement each other.
He’s now focusing on leading and managing Formosa Interactive UK as their Studio Head, whilst still creating high quality source material, recordings and sound design for both interactive and linear media focused studios worldwide.
